Robert Jones

Owner/Master Barber/Stylist

Robert Jones was born in New York and raised in Richmond, Virginia. He is a graduate of Hermitage High School and attended Virginia State University. Robert was proud to serve in the United States Marine Corps for four years. He has 25 years of experience and has owned and operated two successful businesses prior to opening Parkside Barber Shop in 1995.

Robert’s passion for the art of grooming and people fits with his outgoing personality. He truly loves what he does and cannot imagine doing anything else! Robert is an avid golfer and enjoys watching the Dallas Cowboys in action during football season.


Angelo Barber in Richmond Virginia

Angelo was born and raised in Richmond, VA. He is a graduate of Hermitage High School and was a student-athlete on the football programs at Howard University and Virginia State University. Angelo goes by the old saying “When you look good you feel good” as he provides and displays his talents with his cutting and grooming. His favorite teams are the 49ers, Lakers, and the Braves. He is very happy and grateful to be part of the team at Parkside Barbershop and Grooming Lounge


Margie Barber in Richmond VA


Margie grew up in the Erie Pennsylvania area. She moved to the Richmond area with her husband 27 years ago but still is a Pittsburgh Steeler fan! She has two children. Her son attends Penn State Law School and her Daughter Old Dominion University. When she is not visiting her children she is cruising to the Caribbean.  Margie Co-owned A  Male salon for three years before coming to Parkside. She is a dual licensed barber and cosmetologist She has been in the hair industry for 25 years. She loves cutting with scissors as well as clippers. She will help you look your best!


Tina Barber in Richmond Virginia


Tina was born in Vietnam then moved to America in 2005. Tina is fluent in Vietnamese and English. She has been a hair stylist catering to both male and female clientele for eight years. In addition to barbering and hair styling, she is skilled in hair coloring, highlights, and more. Tina is dedicated to top notch customer service.


Larry Barber in Richmond Virginia

Master Barber/Stylist

Larry was born and raised in Louisa County, Virginia. He attended Louisa High School and Seminary School. He has been in the business for 40 years and is passionate about his craft.  Before coming to Parkside Barber Shop & Grooming Lounge, Larry owned a business in northern Henrico County for 20 years.

Larry loves to have fun and enjoy life. He is married to his loving wife of 15 years. You might see him riding a motorcycle on the way to work or in his spare time. He is a fan of the Washington Redskins and the Los Angeles Lakers.


Amanda Barber in Richmond Virginia


Amanda is 23 years old, born and raised in Mechanicsville VA. She attended Atlee H.S. then furthered her education at J. Sargeant Reynolds. Her passion for animals led her to grooming and pet-sitting over the last five years. After being a part of the Parkside family as a receptionist the past two years, she decided to make a career in grooming not only dogs but men too (same thing) lol…

Amanda has much to talk about when Football season comes around considering she is one of the four Cowboy fans that work here at Parkside.


Ed Barber in Richmond VA


Ed was raised in Hopewell and he currently resides in Chester. Ed developed a passion for cutting hair while attending middle school. With twenty-four years of experience, Ed is elated to be on the staff of West End’s prestigious Parkside Barber Shop & Grooming Lounge.

A devoted father, Ed enjoys spending time with his family, traveling abroad and cheering for his NFL Team, the Dallas Cowboys.


Manager/Nail Technician

Alexis was born and raised in NYC. After deciding she wanted to raise her son here in Richmond, she attended college and majored in Business Administration and Web Development at J. Sargeant Reynolds. After starting a Web Development business in 2010, she attended the T&L Beauty Academy to become a nail technician.

Not only does she enjoy grooming her clients here at Parkside, but she enjoys the daily conversations and interaction with our clients as well.

Being the only Giants fan within the Parkside family, she finds it difficult at times to help defend her team. With that being said, go G-Men!

Zoe Allen

Zoe Barber in Richmond VA


Zoe lives in Richmond Virginia.  Blessed with the gift and ability to create great works of art.  She has been an influence in the enhancement of individuals beauty over 30 years and loves what I do for the betterment of others.


Jose Barber in Richmond VA

Barber Apprentice

Jose was born in Columbus Ohio and is a graduate of Freeman High School.  On his free time, he likes to listen to all genres of music.  He started cutting his brother’s hair and his own and got comfortable with hair clippers with no clue about barbering.  When barbering was introduced to him, he quickly fell in love with the art and decided to give it a shot… and the rest was history.


Karim Barber in Richmond Virginia


Karim was born in Tehran Iran, and moved to Richmond VA in 2010. Cutting hair is his passion, and he has provided this service to countless discerning clientele for over 15 years. Having worked in multiple countries throughout his career, he is comfortable working with all different grains of men’s hair. Outside of cutting hair, his interests include motorcycles, snowboarding, as well as a number of other sports. As the newest member of Parkside, Karim works relentlessly to perfect his craft. If you’re not satisfied with your haircut, he’s not satisfied!

Tyson Moore

Barber in Richmond VA


Tyson Moore is a native of Richmond Virginia where he attended both Henrico County and Chesterfield County public schools. He served eight years in the United States Army Reserves and is a graduate of Virginia State University; earning an undergraduate degree in Information Systems and Decision Sciences and a master’s degree in Economics. He enjoyed a 20 year IT career, spending time at small privately owned IT companies, local government agencies, as well as large technology companies such as IBM. He is also a graduate of Edify Barber Academy where he studied the art and business of professional barbering. Tyson enjoys living an active and healthy lifestyle. He is a regular at the gym and spent three years as an American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) certified personal trainer. In addition to working out, he enjoys learning, dreaming, and Calculus (yes, I like math). He is excited about his new career as a professional barber and grateful to serve the clients of Parkside Barber Shop and Grooming Lounge.


Richmond Barbershop


Ryan was born and raised in Alexandria Virginia and attended West Potomac high school and VCU. He moved to California in 2010 and eventually obtained his barbers license and cut hair in San Francisco. Ryan recently moved back to Richmond Virginia to be closer to family. His favorite sports team is the Washington Redskins. He enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his dog and his family. Ryan is very excited to join the Parkside team and looks forward to cutting your hair!



Golden is an RVA native who attends VCU. Growing up, he gained an interest and passion for learning and growing in every way that he could. Barbering holds deep roots in Golden’s family as his father was a barber and a stylist along with his uncle who also was a barber. His first passion was music, in which he is still actively engaged in as a producer. He hopes to leave a strong legacy in life and an even stronger impression through his craft, barbering for the awesome community.



Andrew was born and raised in Richmond Virginia. He began cutting hair in his small studio apartment in 2013 while working blue collar jobs but joined the Parkside Family in 2018. Andrew is passionate about Richmond street art, and is a local musician. He loves his city and the people in it, and wants to help them look their best!


Shoe Shine Specialist

Bill is a native of Richmond, Virginia. He started shining shoes in the 1950’s and spent 15 years in the shoe repair business. Wanting to start his own business, he perfected another trade and became a painting contractor. Now in his golden years, Bill has returned to his first love of shining shoes. He loves getting to know his clients and often shares a history lesson of growing up in Richmond.

Bill is a proud Grandfather and loves to watch the history channel and sports. His favorite football team is the Cleveland Browns.
